Mama Afua Hassan was a midwife based in Houston, Texas for over 30 years. She moved there to pursue a career in midwifery. and graduated from The Houston School of Midwifery in 1984. Mama Afua was the Founder, Owner and Head Midwife of The Birthing Place birthing center where they provide service for water births, home births, VBAC and VBAC2/3, multiples, breech and well person exams.
