Ayanna Ade (1951 - 2013) was a respected midwife from Houston, Texas, known for her holistic approach to maternal care. With a passion for supporting women through pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, Ayanna has become a trusted figure in her community. She co-founded Childbirth Providers of African Descent (CPAD), the first private National Black Midwifery Organization. Ayanna was also an advisory member for the International Center for Traditional Childbearing (ICTC) and the TX ICTC State representative for five years.
