Catching Light Virtual Exhibit is a Celebration of Black Midwives and Birthworkers. A living exhibit envisioned by Monica Simpson, an artist, cultural strategist and executive director of the SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective. Curated by Artists United for Reproductive Justice, Catching Light starts with honoring the tradition of Black midwives and birth workers in the South, with the goal of expanding across cultures around the world to preserve their stories

Sekesa Berry and Black Birth Workers
Sekesa Berry is a Birth Justice Activist and community leader for Black Birth Workers throughout Metro Atlanta features Black Power Media as a guest on the Jared A. Ball’s segment, I Mix What I like. Jared is a Professor of Communication and Africana Studies at Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD. and author of The Myth and Propaganda of Black Buying Power (Palgrave, 2020, 2nd Edition Coming Spring 2023).
